it has influenced our interior design today Learn about the
origin og the bed and how it has traveled through time,
literally. Did you know that the bedroom was considered to be
the most prestigious room in the home for many years? It was the
main room that people entertained in. Did you know that bed
draperies inspired our histories very elaborate window
treatments? Hundreds of yards of fabric were first used to make
very ornate dressings for beds to show ones stature in the
community. This seminar will show you many pictures of these
beautiful beds and offer inspiration to turn the mudane into the
extraordinary when it comes to m odern bed ensembles or beautiful
layered window treatments.

Pillow Talk - Classroom

This class is the same as the home study course
05.16.573 but it is taught in a classroom with lots of
hands-on demonstrations. We discuss the different types of
fillings in pillows, examine the actual pillow edges and short
cuts on how to apply them, fabric manipulation and trims. You
receive a copy of the book 1001 PILLOWS, 153 pages of over 450
sketches and 3 transparency sheets with different pillow edges
along with an 8 page hand-out discussing trims and their
applications. This is a great class to gain confidence to sell
pillows and make $$$$$ doing it. And yes, you can take both the
home study course and the classroom class and get full credit
for both, a total of 14 CEU hours. Or you can combine with
PILLOWS 1001 2.
