Jo Woodworth has a BA in Design and Education from the University of Maine. She has been in the interior design business in Sarasota, Florida since 1979. She has been a teacher for the public school system and a teacher/provider for the State of Florida since 1982. She currently has her own design firm and drapery workroom. She travels throughout the US and Canada specializing in designing, fabricating and installing couture window treatments and bed ensembles. While traveling, she continues her research for other courses. She has recently published 2 books, 1001 PILLOWS and 1001 PILLOWS 2 and is working on a third one dedicated to designing and fabricating bed ensembles. Over the years she has seen a great need for continuing education because of new products that are being continually introduced to the public without education for the professionals, numerous different trends in fabrics; their construction, fibers and colors are constantly changing and the overall eclectic style of interior design today. She has used the research she has done for the past 25 years to compile interesting and informative classes to create a safer, more comfortable environment for the consumer. It is her goal in each class, with each student, to provide them with enough information that they will be able to design with knowledge and confidence in those areas.
